1857/1858; Black leather over spines and corners, with black cloth over boards; Raised spine bands, with gilt stamped lettering on spines; Covers are rubbed show wear along edges, spine ends, and corners; Gilt lettering remains bright; Minimally Ex-Library, with a few markings on title page and copyright page of each volume, though with NO other library markings; Front hinge (internal) of Volume I is cracked and there is a little separation between copyright page and contents page; Both volumes remains tight; There is a little scattered moisture staining and light foxing; Contents, however, are fairly clean and otherwise intact.
